May's focus: Connecting to the Mother and Grounding in the Earth

Each Celebrating the Goddess event combines meditation with music as well as teachings and tools to masterfully maximize your potential.

At a time when earth changes are occurring rapidly, it is important to come into harmony with our home, Earth.

Her power is tremendous and when we come into harmony with her nature, she begins to create with us. She is known by different names: Mother Earth, Great Mother, Gaia, Pachamama, the Feminine Force of creation.

It is through connecting with the Earth we find harmony in the body and a deep sense of grounding as nature heals. The benefits are a sense of strength and protection.

In this month’s Celebrating the Goddess events, we honour mothers of all kinds- ultimately honouring the power of creation. Then we begin to taste real power, known as EMPOWERMENT. From this place, we can play our role in birthing a new Earth, one person at a time.

Our West Vancouver event will be facilitated by Dr. Alexina Mehta and Theda Phoenix, intuitive singer/songwriter and recording artist from BC. Theda has been singing songs channeled from the heart with her angelic voice since 2001. She has performed with many inspirational speakers including Dr Deepak Chopra.

In addition to her captivating voice, personal and engaging stage presence and the songs she writes on guitar, Theda’s extraordinary talent shines when she intuitively improvises healing songs either acapella or accompanied by her Guitar, Harp, Drum or Crystal Singing Bowls.

Our Vancouver Event will be facilitated by Dr. Alexina Mehta and Shine Edgar, Renowned Australian didjeridu master and World music artist. Shine has been performing, teaching and offering sound healing for close to 20 years. He has performed at numerous international festivals to thousands of people and shared the stage with many well known artists, including Mickey hart, Jai Uttal, Michael Franti, Rhiannon, Armando Peraza, Gaudi, Adham Shaikh, Ganga Giri, the Gyoto Tibetan Monks and Yunchen Lhamo & Mihirangi.

Shine was initiated into didjeridu healing by an Indigenous Aboriginal elder in 1991. He offered sound healing at Hollyhock retreat center for 10 years. A number of leading experts in the field of spiritual healing, including Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Ram Das, and Dr Andrew Weil have all experienced Shine’s work.

Shine’s world beat rhythms , percussion and unique vocal styling’s, combined with timeless messages of indigenous wisdom, takes listeners on ecstatic dream time journeys into self discovery and inner transformation.
